This puzzle was a little harder. Good thing it wasn't more pieces of I would have been in trouble. I got it all finished except for 5 pieces and they didn't fit..... since all the pieces seemed to fit but the colors didn't match.... I called on Gary for help and he and I figured out I didn't put the edge pieces in the right place. They fit but when we moved them all the pieces finally fit and matched.... I don't think I will get another Kodak puzzle for a little while although I do like the picture, don't you?
I have been doing other things besides work on puzzles, just not on the computer or watching tv as much. I did plant my tomatoes yesterday and we went shopping to pick out our new patio table and umbrella. Now we have the whole set. I wanted to get it in the beginning of summer, so we got it just in time... Leo just had it up and it started to rain... it got its first work out. The umbrella works fine so far. We also went to Krolls for lunch. Its a great place to go, we both love it and Leo always finds something he can eat. Life is good ! :)
Today I should plant a few things but I'm going to wait.... don't want to get dirty yet, LOL Looks like a rain cloud overhead anyway. I may have to start another puzzle. I have one I bought to do at Christmas time I am saving but think I will break it open... my favorite kind... its a Linda Nelson Stocks puzzle and the name of it is Fishing with Dad... very appropriate for this time of year. I may finish by fathers day. I should though as its only 550 pieces. I think its one I will glue together and maybe even frame if I can find a frame the right size. its 24 X 18 I guess an odd measurement for a frame but I may get lucky.
hope you are having a nice day, Sandra

Another puzzle
I went to Steins yesterday too and got some pretty flowers. there were so many people there, guess getting ready for the big planting day. They didn't seem to have as many plants as they usually have. Maybe different ones. I have noticed that at a lot of the places I have been this year. I just changed my plans a little is all. I also got 4 tomato plants too... 2 sweet 100's and 2 big boys. I can already taste them, lol
Now I have some impatients to plant in the ground and some petunias to put in 2 hangers and some wax begonias to put in the ground and a couple of pots.
We had a nice little rain last night and now its a beautiful day today ~ just right for planting but I may have to do laundry first... what ever it will be a busy day.
Hope you are having a nice day today, sandra

Puzzle
My sister (Angel) gave me this puzzle when we were together, I liked it when she got it so after she did it she gave it to me to do... Notice the piece missing on the bottom. She had a note in a plastic bag showing me what the piece looked like and that it was missing on the 4th piece from the bottom on the edge. She also put all the edges in for me... some you wouldn't know were edges because the pieces are not aligned like some puzzles are... makes it more challanging I think. Well there was this poem on the back:
THE EMPERORS'S DREAM
"I had a vision," the Emperor said----
"Last night, it was as though my soul
Had shed me while I lay abed
And slipped beyond the mortal shoul
Down to the deeps of imagination
Where night-thoughts swirl in painted streams;
Down past the level of contemplation
Through the shadowy realm of dreams;
Into a place I'd never known----
A place where only peace could reign...
My soul would claim it for its own
And there, contented, would remain.
My soul eased down and rested there
And watched the butterflies at play,
Dancing in the scented air
By the lotus'lush display.
There was more, but suddenly
My soul was coming back again----
My soul was rushing back to me
Returning to the world of men!
I awoke still deep in thrall
My vision would not be denied---
It's true: what welove most of all
We carry with us deep inside.
We keep it hidden all the time
Securing it with self-made locks,
Yet still its's there--- the dream sublime---
A gem within a jewelry box."

My sisters and I
We had a wonderful day today! Janice took the picture so I haven't a pic of her but I will try next time. the middle one is sister Angel and the one with the pretty flowers is Joan.. Angel and I liked her flowers so much we each got a pot of them too. I have a scarlet honeysuckle vine in the pot. everyone said it would be a good grower for my trellis and will come back every year.
we also went to an antique store that used to be an old old school house... A hundred year old building when they changed it over. then we went to the cutest bird store where I got a type of feeder for orioles. it holds orange pieces and jelly. I just found out how much they like grape jelly or jam so I will try my luck. We did see an oriole in the yard the other day so we may get lucky. I hope. We also went for lunch so we had a wonderful day ~ just the kind of happy day I needed. Another sister, Cathy was with us only she had to go home because her asthma was bothering her... hope it gets better soon.
so today I write in here twice and other times I wait days....guess you just can't figure me out, huh?
hope you all had a nice day today too, Sandra
patio set
I did get the patio set... but I had to order 2 extra chairs as it didn't come with 4 chairs but 2 chairs and a love seat and a coffee table that opens up... I'm using the coffee table in the family room along with the love seat. then Leo went and got me a foot stool to match. I got it at Target. Don't know why they don't keep the extra chairs in stock and I have to pay the shipping. But they do come right to the house and thats a good thing I guess. I really love the set and the pads on the chairs and the foot stool match the red of my new sofa. they are striped, a red color with white and gold. I will take a picture as soon as we get the full set and then we have to get a table and umbrella. the table they had was too small so we will try and get something to match. I always liked wicker furniture and wanted it in the family room because its so small and it seems more like a sun room this way. Rick was saying I could add another window but I think I will pass on that. During the winter I can put 2 of the chairs in the family room. we will then have more sitting for holidays etc.
Remember the picture I took of the zoo lion last summer? I sent it in to the Press Gazette for their weekly picture section and it is on the front page... made my day. Now I can say I'm published. haha Probably because no one else sent one in of the big kitty and since he died last week it was news. I think it was a pretty good picture though. :) Its in the entry 2 down.
hope you are havinga nice day, sandra
since I was in here tonight I decided to add the picture just one more time, haha had to show you it really did get in the paper. :)

Sleepy day
I did do a little shopping this morning though. We are looking for a new patio set.... something pretty so I went to 3 different stores so far. Tomorrow we will go to 2 or 3 more. So far the one I like the best looks like wicker but it is for outside, Its a resin all weather wicker. Indoor or outdoor. Comfortable too, now I have to sell Leo on it... he likes the plain old kind like we have now... whats the sense of getting something new if it isn't different. LOL Martha Stewart makes one and I suppose that is the one Leo will like if I can get him to agree.... you know.... K mart and cheaper. Ha Ha... We shall see. I have to make myself feel good because the neighbors are moving and it is making me so sad...Gotta get my mind off and think of something to make me feel good.... got any ideas for me? I guess I don't do well with change. It could be for the better, right? Maybe they won't light their wood stove in summer so I have to close the windows.... maybe they will like my little dogs and cat...... maybe they will be Democrats, hahahaha.... so it could be for the better and I must think positive. Wish I knew someone who was looking for a house.... its a cute little 3 bedroom that is very well taken care of. The thing is I believe everything is done for a reason and God has a lesson of some kind for me to learn with new neighbors.... I'm so scared that I won't be able to handle it and then we might have to move..... wish us good neighbors and if you pray for something like that could you slip in a little one for us? :)
I went to the video store and got another Goldie Hawn movie. I found 3 at the store and another one at the video store .... not much money because they are kinda old movies... good ones though. They didn't have Sargent Benjemin though so maybe I will look on ebay... that should take my mind off for a bit too, huh?
Its just these rainy, cloudy days we have been having.... we had a couple now so it will be getting better soon.... then I will have to keep busy in the yard again won't I. haha... always something.
Anyway I hope you are having a nice day today and are happy, Sandra
