Just stopping by

I was coming in to look up a journal but noticed I haven't written for awhile..... Just want to let you know we are fine if I haven't written in your journal for awhile.... Fall is a busy time of the year, so much to do and so little time. haha..... I came in because I sent Leo to the store to get some mushroom soup for the meatballs I'm making. Gary doesn't like tomato sauce and I figured if I'm going to cook I will try to please everyone. It isn't always the easiest thing to do though. Leo can only eat foods that are easy to eat and Gary eats most of what he likes except for tomato sauce but sometimes he does but that day we always have left overs.... say .... Maybe that isn't so bad after all.
   Mike's wife Teri is coming to Green Bay for a week or so but is staying with her family all but about 3 days and she will be staying with Shari this year....She can have a better time that way because Leo and I aren't exactly spring chickens any more and don't have a clue as to what she wants to do..... I know she likes to stay with Shari and Shari and her family always stay with Mike and her when they visit Florida so its only fair I guess. :) 
So now I have to get into the kitchen and finish up supper..... I forgot what I came in here for anyway. lol

Cold Rainy Day

The pictures above are of my daughter and a little girl she baby sits and my Great Grandaughters. Im afraid that was the last of a beautiful day to play on the patio. the weather is cold and rainy now. I think it came a couple of weeks early so maybe we will still get some nice days but the 15 day forcast isn't looking good.
We have been busy every chance we can to clean up the yard.... front and sides are finished and even mulched in front but the back is only partly finished..... we are dragging our feet I guess. Somehow it doesn't seem like the most important thing any more.
Yesterday my husband turned 70..... boy that seems such a long way from 69   :>)  It will be my turn in the not so far future too..... ugh
we went shopping at Penneys yesterday and I got a pretty bracelet and necklace and earrings.... they had a sale I couldn't pass up .... so I got myself a present for Leo's birthday.... I gave him his favorite gift.... Money but he didn't spend any yesterday but today he spent a little at Fleet Farm.... He likes to spend it slow I guess.... Whatever makes him happy, I say.
We got a Christmas tree in the mail today but its too clumsy to bring down the basement so we will probably keep it in the kitchen for a month and then put it up..... the box can be used as a table in the meantime I guess,,, :>(   Oh well.
So now I'm going to finish making a pot of chile for supper.... Hope everyone is happy and having sunny days, Sandra

A BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY

Friday I went to the store and they were setting up for their big fall pumpkin and corn stalk and bales sale and when we stopped their today everything was gone..... they must have had the best prices in town I guess. I couldn't believe my eyes ..... most stores have them on sale for weeks. I say good for them. I bet it was profitable for them too as people also stopped by and did their grocery shopping.... I love my little store. :)
We have started to clean up the yard and I suppose tomorrow I will finish the front.....it is supposed to be warm out tomorrow so maybe I will get lazy but I will try to cut back the rest in the front anyway..... I like my yard to be cleaned up for winter so when spring comes I can just enjoy it for awhile....
My husband, Leo has shingles and it is so painful. I know because I had it 2 winters ago and was in so much pain... this is his 3rd week and the blisters are starting to dry up now and he says the pain eases up some now too. Mine lasted a whole month and it wasn't good..... now I understand why they have shots for chicken pox.
I should take some pictures of the pretty fall colors but I have so much to do that after I work in the yard I like to sit on the porch if its warm enough and tomorrow it should be... It was a beautiful day today and I'm enjoying the nice fresh air coming in the room tonight. Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather, Sandra

Wow its been a long time

These are a few  pictures to show what has been going on in my little corner of the world.... we had a wonderful Anniversary dinner with the kids and now we have some things to remember it by too plus lots of pictures. They all speak for me so I don't have to say too much more.
The weather here has turned and it is now fall here. Nice sleeping weather again...lol
Yesterday Leo's 2 sisters came over and we chatted for about 4 hours...I actually enjoyed their visit which isn't always the case but it was fun and just what the doctor ordered because we laughed a lot .... a good thing, right. I didn't take any pictures but I brought them in here and showed them a lot of my pictures. Neither one have a computer which to me is soooooo sad. lol   I can't imagine not having one anymore, can you?
So now I'm going to go and play some games so I can get some more badges in pogo..... Iam addicted I think. The only thing wrong with it is it makes time fly by. It's a nice place to go when Im trying to kill time waiting to go somewhere ect though.

For The Birds

We enjoyed the birds this morning eating on the seeds of the anise plants. Sometimes there were at least 20. Mostly yellow finches with sparrows etc.... I usually cut them back but this year I have been a lazy gardner and I think I will be from now on... The bunnies etc like my yard and so do the birds.... and I enjoy them all in my yard too... :)
It is a lot cooler here today and the sky is grey so its a good day to stay in mostly... :)  Sweatshirt kind of weather finally!!!!!!

Lazy day

Here is the picture I promised of the wreath I got yesterday for our front door.
It's a lazy day today being labor day and all. Not doing anything but the necessary things today and playing games on my computer. I have been working at getting badges. lol I finally figured out how to do a game and won a badge so I'm Proud of myself today. :>)  Doesn't take much anymore does it.
It's just a cool sort of day and cloudy but nice. It can wait until tonight to rain I guess.... I don't really mind and those that want to go on their last picnic before school starts it would be a good thing if it held off. I'm sneezing and have a little runny nose today.... hope its not a cold..... nah ..... I think its just the weather.
Well back I go to playing another game.... wish me luck. :)  Hope you are having fun no matter what you are doing and are happy too. Sandra

Beautiful Sunday

It's another beautiful sunny day today. The 15 day forcast is for temp's in the middle 70's and mostly sunny. My kind of weather and at night it will get down in the 50's.... yipee !
  I was watching tennis for a bit today. Andre's Last tennis match..... too bad it had to come to an end but I'm sure he will do  something with tennis yet.... He is a nice man!
  After Mass we went to Penney's and then to the Buffet to eat lunch.... after that I bought a new fall wreath for my front door. I will have to take a pic of it soon and put it in here won't I...... :>) I bought a new shirt at Penneys because I couldn't resist a good sale and besides I like the shirt.
The race won't be on until 7 tonight so I have a lot of time .... I just learned how to play Plinx so I will no doubt play that for a bit today too....
