My Daughter Shari's Birthday

It was a good morning to take pictures but its raining out now and very dark.... its good for me because now I don't have to water the yard. Shari and her family plan on going out to eat tonight though so I hope it clears up for them.
I haven't been writing in my journal very much lately have I..... just have been busy reading. those 2 books I got the other day were to good to put down. I took them back today and got 2 more. I also went to the drugstore, post office and Piggly Wiggly to get a few groceries and then to Shari's to give her a Birthday present. She is baby sitting my Great Grandaughters today so I got to play with them a little too. They are my daughter Julie's grandchildren. Sharis kids aren't married yet. Mindy is in Collage and Tyler is just starting a new job and his girlfriend as a couple more years of College yet too.
Nothing new besides that today.... Leo has been fishing and Gary is working everyday but will have the 4th of July week off.... so will Shari and Dan and my sonsRick and Tom ...... we should plan something I suppose, huh?  I suppose it will be fishing and golfing for the guys and I will find something to do as usual. I like being home the best I guess so thats fine with me.

A Very Beautiful Day

It sure is a beautiful day here in Green Bay today! the humidity is low and the temp is just perfect for me.... in fact it was so cool in the house today I'm wearing a sweater. We do need rain so I have to go out and water the plants if I want them to continue to grow I think. I have been watering the pots but not the ones in the ground and now they are starting to turn brown in some spots.... not good.
I went to the library today and got 2 new books to read. a small one I can only have for 7 days but it will be finished sooner as its a pretty good book. The one I was reading was so slow reading I decided to put it down for awhile and get a couple new ones..... I was right because I got a good one. :)  Leo went fishing today and got some huge cat fish but he put them back in the water. One didn't want to be caught and pulled the rod right out of Leo's hand and he got another pole and fished it back in... he said he got it back on the first try..... I was wondering why he wasn't wet... I probably would have tried to go in after it, lol
So thats about it so far today. yesterday I got a new movie to watch.... Pink Panther with Steve Martin.... I heard its good so am saving it for a special time. I have been watching a few good movies this week on the Hallmark channel. Tonight I will be watching the Nascar drivers qualify for the Sunday race. :)

humidity is lower!

I just had to put a few pictures in today to show what a nice day we are having today in Wisconsin. :)  The humidity is gone and a nice cool breeze is blowing. Much nicer than the 90 and humidity we had over the week end. I just may go out on the patio and sit for awhile while its so nice.

warm and cloudy

It looks like it may rain so I went out and took some pictures before I miss out. I'm just sitting around today waiting for the groomer to call and tell me my doggies are finished. I can hardly wait to see them all clean and pretty again. I waited too long this time so they should be looking and feeling a lot better. I suppose I will be taking more pictures this afternoon. :)
I was worried about my neighbor lately because her sons have been coming and cutting her grass and staying with her most Saturdays.... she is a single woman and a nice friend and neighbor. I heard bad news from another neighbor last night. She has lung cancer... So I feel really bad today.... Say a little prayer for her if you would. Thanks, Sandra

warm day

I haven't had much to say lately but I did take a picture of my beautiful clematis yesterday and thought I would show you how pretty it is this year.  It still has a lot of buds so I should be seeing flowers for awhile yet. Funny but I put it on a tiny trellis and it flips over on itself and looks almost like a bush now doesn't it. I think I will leave it as long as it is staying so pretty.
  I went to the store for a few things for supper this morning and returned the movie I got last week end.... "The March of the Penguins" very good and then returned my book I finished reading... also a good story. Then I brought a big bag of clothes to St Vincent DePauls bin by church.... Now I think I will just do a little crocheting.... I'm making some pot holders for my Grandchildren. Mindy is going to be moving into a house with some College friends and Tyler is planning on moving out sometime soon.... well he has been saying that now for a year or more so I guess he is just waiting until he knows for sure he will have enough money. His girlfriend still has a couple more years of school I believe so maybe thats what he is waiting for..... not sure. :)

I entered this once and now I forgot what I had to say.... the other one disappeared. :) 
I went to the doctor today and everything was fine... now I hope its only one more visit in 3 weeks and I will be finished.... I hope. I'm trying to take better care of myself and started getting my teeth fixed and now the doctor and then my eyes.... I will feel so good when its all done. things I keep putting off and making into a big deal and if I just would do it it would be so much better. I will learn eventually  I guess. So far I have lost 14#'s too which I believe is helping my blood pressure go down... I suppose after I lose about 20 more I will have to go back and get my presure etc checked again.... but I will do what must be done because I want to feel good...... wasn't feeling the best there for awhile but am starting to get a little better.... after the doctor we went to get a new flag for Flag day on Wednesday. the old one looks so dingy ~ I wonder if it can be washed. I think I will try before we burn it. I believe its nylon, so it should be washable.
now after putting this in twice I think I had enough computer tonight and will go and read for awhile. Hope your haveing a good night, Sandra

cool but sunny

I got a picture of the butterfly but couldn't wait for it to open its wings because Leo was cutting the grass and left the gate open and Twinkie got out.... I had to go and get him and shut the gate and by that time the butterfly was gone..... maybe another day. :)
I spent all morning putting my pictures on disks and deleting them from my pictures and my documents.... I had so many I couln't find the one I was looking for anymore.... Now it will be better for a few weeks I hope. I remember when it took me even longer when I had those little floppy disks and it seemed like I could only get about 10 or so on one if I was lucky. Remember those.... these cds are so much better aren't they.
So now its time for lunch already...... if you want time to speed by you just have to start doing something on the computer.
So off I go now to find something else to do..... It seems like Leo is always cutting the grass these days..... but he keeps it fertilized and its been raining off and on so I guess that is what needs to be done... I guess its good exercise for him and he always keeps it looking nice so I should be happy I guess.....
