Snow

                                       WHITE

White... is not a mere absence of color;
it is a shining and affirmative thing,
as fierce as red, as definite as black....
God paints in many colors;
but He never paints so gorgeously,
I had almost said so gaudily,
as when He paints in white

G. K. Chesterton

We had a little snow again last night.... everything looks so pretty and clean.

             THE PRESENCE OF SNOW

in the presence of snow,
       weeds
become flowers,
       fields
     become
laughing feather beds.
In the presence of snow,
      overcoats
 fall to wings,
    strangers
become angels.
     Peace
becomes a familiar song,
in the presence of snow.
                                                          Eileen Spinelli
It was a quiet day today... I did not go out of the house but I did get the house straightened and the laundry done etc.... The lights can be seen sparkling on the blue spruce outside my window... Iam glad Leo got them on early.... I enjoy the pretty colored lights. Just plain white on the house but the tree should be pretty....... I think. :)
     Maybe I will go and check on the last load of laundry that is in the dryer.... hope it doesn't have to be fluffed up but it should be fine.
Hope you have a nice evening and enjoy tomorrow too, Sandra

You know, blue is my favorite color but I have always loved white. I like white flowers. There is just something about that color that brings out the best in the others!

I love your poems about SNOW.  Just beautiful. Today we have rain and all is melting around us.  Much warmer tomorrow they say!  No lights yet at my house, but they'll be in the windows soon !  We have to brighten up the long nights somehow!  I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday !  'On Ya' - ma
