My daughter,Shari and I went to a few craft shows today. We had a good time. Notre Dame Acadamy had some nice things and we also took home some delicious chile. Leo loved it, too bad I can't get more as its now up to me to try and make some like it. We saw a few people we knew and stopped to talk a few times on our way around the many isles of hand made items. I got a pair of hand made wool socks. I never tried to make them on my own although I do knit and crochet ( Mom always told me how hard it was ) Anyway I had a nice talk with the woman who made them and I may try to make a pair. She said she gets a lot of her yarn on the internet. She said there was a nice shop in algoma too but I forgot the name. Maybe my sister can help me with that, I also got a church cook book. really nice loose leaf type and came home and read some of the recipes and it looks like I will be trying some..... nice book! I also got some little snowflake ornaments, the lady there was telling us how she invented the pattern and she dares anyone to figure it out, lol Ok with me because she only charged 25cents a piece for the pearl snowflakes for my little tree I have in here. Then I bought some plastic canvas cross stitch things.... a few magnets and a towel holder for christmas.... all in the gingerbread theme. I even found some little peanut butter flavored bones for the puppies. Oh and another nylon net scrunchie.... I'm obsessed with those things. Every time I see one I have to get it..... everyone makes them different. I tried and couldn't make them like the picture so I gave up, These were little balls the lady made.... her own pattern. I have flat ones, little and big and half round ones and now little balls to fit nice in my hand, they may even work to strengthen my arthritic hands. I guess there are a lot of variations to the pattern.
So I had a nice day and got home and Leo had the yard work all finished and looking really good.

What a big cat, I've got mine on a diet and she 'only' weighs 14 pounds. But mine wasn't playing so I changed foods and she dropped a couple pounds. Sounds like you got nice things at the sale. I myself went to one in Howard today and got a wonderful Bluebird house, not to mention the baked goods and lunch.
Yes, Charlie is a big cat. Its almost time for his checkup and it will be interesting to hear what the vet tells me to do. we don't give him lots of treats ect but he does eat some of the dogs food on occasion. When he was just a kitten the vet told me he was going to be a big cat..... I didn't believe him but he was right. I guess he sees all kinds of cats and he knows.
Hey, your back ... I kept going to the old journal site waiting for your return. I found your lovely journal when you were featured as the editors pick.
Smilin Mon :)
