Paperwhites

My paperwhites are blooming! They were hiding under the lamp shade so they grew rather tall didn't they? Its nice to have flowers in the house. I only started them 2 weeks ago. I started my amerlis bulb before that and its not blooming yet. My birthday is next Monday so maybe it will be my birthday present... Its just starting to open today. I think I will move it so it gets a little sun today and see if I can speed it up.
Yesterday I went shopping and found 2 great sweaters on sale.... I cound not believe the bargain so I had to get 2. They were 70% off the regular price. I suppose they got too many in this year. We still have a lot of cold weather coming so I will more than get my use out of them. Nice soft, warm chenille in pale pink and a pale blue...
We did get snow too but not the 12 inches. I think we must have gotten another 3 though. The weather man said its supposed to blow and drift this afternoon too so its a nice day to stay in and crochet. My husband shoveled all the snow before I got up so I won't be doing that today. He is down the basement making bird feeders. Nice big ones out of cedar. Our son wanted him to make one and now he is making me one. He found a good deal on scraps of wood at the lumber company. I hope he can find more as they will make nice presents and give him something nice to do while waiting for fishing weather to come again. Last year he made garden stakes out of copper pipe and wire etc ( he put colored glass balls in them or pretty plates on top for a bird feeder) and then he made butterfly houses before that. I have many projects for him but they will have to wait for the right time and the right price at the lumber co. as he likes a good bargain I guess. Which is just fine with me. He is in a much better mood when he gets something accomplished~ but then I guess we all are aren't we?
Hope everyone is having a nice day today! Stay warm.

The flowers are lovely. I tried having flowers inside but one of my cats (Phoebe) eats the blooms.

You are so creative and I can't wait to see some pics so I can get more ideas. :-)
