A little yard work

I started doing some serious gardeningyesterday andPicture from Hometown today its raining ( wouldn't you know it). So we went out for lunch and to find a little something to wear for Easter. I found a jacket type top the color of this writing. and a few shirts to match those flowers in the picture, lol. Anyway I was really into the gardening and starting to get excited now too as I was transplanting some hostas I had in the front to the shade garden in the back.... We took the tree down in front so the hosta leaves got burned last year and finally I made the decision to put them in the back yard. I have 2 huge clumps transplanted so far. I had to rake the needles and pinecones off of the spot first though. Leo had to make 3 trips to the yard waste recycle spot with his new van... we got it broken in now I guess. Leo also raked a part of the back yard where the leaves had gathered next to the fence. We just got a small start but its going to be fun deciding what flowers and bushes to put in place of the hostas as it was a nice big area. I think I may plant some of the new hydrangeas and maybe even the yellow lilac bush there. And in the middle I may put the new dogwood tree or else the crooked willow... I can't decide. Its going to be fun anyway and since they are small yet I will be able to get a lot of annuals to use as fillers for a couple of years.... We are planning on digging 3 old bushes out of the front yard too. They are close to the house and they make it almost impossible to wash the windows. Its going to be a big job but maybe one of our sons will be around to help. Ha Ha.... Where are they when you really need them. :)  Anyway thats what is on my mind today. We shall see what tomorrow brings. Hope you are having a nice day today too.

Your animations are great. Also your gardening work is inspirational. We can't wait to get started. I can't post to my Journal right now. I keep getting an error message...Journal unavailable. I've written tech support. Dad and Mary

Wash windows????  Grrr, don't remind me.  Inside is OK, but I just hate doing the outside.  Glad you are getting into some serious gardening.  I can't wait to see pics of what a real gardener can do.  :-)

It sounds like you are making some real nice changes.  I love doing work like this.  I don't have a green thumb but try anyway.  I'd like to be able to acquire a green thumb.  Do you know where I might get one?
