Sunny tomorrow

Its so amazing after all the rain the flowers still are growing well and even blooming. It only rained a little today but was cool and cloudy for most of the day.... the sun did shine and the weather man promises more sun tomorrow.... I'm glad the back yard didn't get dry enough to cut today because my husband needed something to do and I finally got my clothes lines back in working order.... I don't hang much out but they are nice to have when I want to put rugs out to dry or even sheets.... they smell so good after a good airing ( if the birds don't get them) ;>) Anyway you can see in the picture the Iris and Columbine are just starting to bloom and that is a blue indigo bush on the near end and on this side I have a clematis on a trellis and the autumn kind on the fence in this area. Looks like some coral bells are starting to bloom already too in this little space I have between the house and a small sidewalk.

How beautiful.  I am glad you did not get the horrible storms that the midwest has been having.  Even though you have had more than your share of rain, the flowers seemed to have enjoyed it immensely.

My poor plants are showing signs of heat stress and I just don't know what to do.  I try to make sure they have plenty of water but we are getting ready to go under statewide water restrictions.  I hope they all make it.

thats hard when you have water restrictions ~ My son lives in florida and he has that problem but so far his plants have made it.... most anyway. the grass has probalems sometimes if he can't water every day but then he reseeds and it comes back.... We will be having those problems with heat and water in a couple of months too.... My son has a sandy soil and it drys out so fast, thats where clay comes in handy.
