Pictures of my yard

I thought I would add a few pictures of my yard and how it looks now.... it is always changing though as some flowers are finished and some are coming into bloom soon. I'm sure I will be sharing more pictures soon... Had to do it this way but you can always enlarge the pictures to see them better I guess.

Its another cool day here in Green Bay but the sun is shinning and the birds are singing and everything is beautiful. Yesterday it was only in the 60's so we are having a very cool summer so far but its easier to get the work done this way and the mosquitos didn't even bite me once when I was weeding the flowers in the front. The sun was shinning and it was a little windy but cool so a perfect day to get my weeding finished. I'm lucky we are retired so we can do the work when the time  is best. I count my blessings every day.

Hope its a beautiful day for you today too!
Sandra
I almost forgot John wants to know what song reminds us of the beginning and ending of summer.... all that comes to my mind now is Summer Time Summer Time....sum sum sum er time. LOL The end of summer would probably be a sad song like Falling Leaves...

What a wonderful garden tour. Your yard is so beautiful. The clematis is amazing, the coleus/impatiens windowbox is a great combo and is that the ivy geranium in the left swan? I can't coax my ivy geranium to bloom yet. I saw some swans at Kmart this spring and almost got them, but didn't. I guess it's a good thing cause I didn't even plant my chicken yet. But seeing your's again this summer maybe I'll go back and see if they have any left.

No Joan, thats 2 different kinds of petunias... I have ivy geranium in pots on the fence and they are doing better then I expected for those $5 pots.... What a bargain they were this year!

Oh yes, petunias. I see the bigger picture on the bottom. The singles are really taking off in the swan. The doubles are so pretty, too. They always remind me of carnations.

Your yard is beautiful as ever and I especially like the flag on display. God Bless America, Paula

How beautiful!  Next season my plants should really look good.  We are getting so much rain lately I'm afraid some of the plants are getting too much water.  When it comes to rain its either feast or famine.  :-)

Well your flower pictures are really pretty.  I like everything.  I went looking for a hanging basket so I have some flowers but they were so expensive.   The one I like the best was 40.00.  I guess I'll see if I can pack one myself.

You know what they say, "Two like minds can work together to accomplish great things."  I was amazed when I saw the picture of your yard/garden.  It is so much like mine, even to the pot of flowers on the patio table and the petunias in the geese.  I also have a bird feeder surrounded by flowers and a far back yard garden with all the left overs and transplants.  Yours are beautiful.  Enjoyed them very much.  Virginia

SEALED WITH A KISS - 10/06/1989 (Is this the song you are looking for?)

Though we've gotta say goodbye for the summer
Darling I promise you this
I'll send you all my love every day in a letter
Sealed with a kiss
Yes it's gonna be a cold lonely summer
But I'll fill the emptiness
I'll send you all my dreams every day in a letter
Sealed with a kiss

I'll see you in the sunlight
I'll hear your voice everywhere
I'll run to tenderly hold you
But darling you won't be there

I don't wanna say goodbye for the summer
Knowing the love we'll miss
Oh let us make a pledge to meet in September
And seal it with a kiss

Yes it's gonna be a cold lonely summer
But I'll fill the emptiness
I'll send you all my love every day in a letter
Sealed with a kiss
Sealed with a kiss
Sealed with a kiss

Your pictures are great and your yard is beautiful. I don't like to work in the yard. I like indoors and sewing and cooking. I have some beautiful hydrangeas and I love them. Hope you have a great night.  Connie B

Beautiful yard.. is that oleander i see in the picture with your little dog...if it is be very careful...my dog chewed on a flower and a stem and went into kidney failure.I almost lost him. I also have a long haired Chihuahua, it looks like that's what your little dog is. Isn't it wonderful to sit and enjoy a garden you have created yourself!

Your yard and flowers are gorgeous!  I miss having green and colors.  I live in the desert and the wild bunnies eat everything I try to plant that is green or flowering.  I even had to buy a new hose that was yellow because they ate holes in my green one!  Keep those flowers blooming!  My dogs would love to play in grass...they don't even know what it is!

Hi from Alabama!
Your yard is so beautiful. I am a 57 year old house wife that also loves to garden.
We had a jackrabbit visit our garden last week and he thought it was Thanksgiving! He ate so many of the flowers I could have cried! He mostly ate the annuals and thank goodness, left the others alone.
We've had more rain than usual.
My daughter lived in West Allis, Wisconsin for a year, so I have actually visited your beautiful state.
My husband and I live 2 miles from the Auburn University and really love to attend all the sporting events there. Tonight we will be watching the Nascar Race on tv. Our first date was to the Nascar Race in Atlanta 42 years ago!
Can't wait to see more pictures of the garden!
Happy 4th of July!

Thanks for sharing your lovely garden pictures.  The clematis in Indiana was the lovliest ever, but the flowers are long gone now.  I have different colored lilies, black eyed Susans, and other perennials coming on as well as the annuals I planted.

Beautiful yard there. Looks like a lot of work but, a labor of love.
