Ice fishing

Someone asked me to put in some pictures of ice fishing ... I didn't have any at the time but my son just sent me a few pictures of when he went with my husband and grandson last week end... that is Leo in the picture below and this is just a pic of the lake and the different ice shantys out there. Not many yet but probably more next week if this weather stays cold... plus there will be lots of snow besides..
So gotta go now as I still don't feel good. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
Leo has to clean up all the snow by himself today but he doesn't seem to mind at all with his nice new insulated suit on etc... fresh air and exercise is good for a person... wish I was out there too.

So that's what the inside of an ice fishing shanty looks like - pretty neat with curtains and all ;) I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. I made it out to the store at noon and the roads were pretty clear and it's not too cold now. I picked up my library books while I was out there, too. I got Favre, a knitting book, and a couple of food books. I found a box of that Red tea with vanilla. I was glad it was decaf. I'll try some tonight. Take Care!

Oh, how fun.....thanks for sharing pics of the ice shanty and the ice fishing.  I love it.  Sounds like fun.  I'd probably like it for a few minutes until I got cold or bored!!!

Feel better Sandra. Get some nice hot tea and curl up with a warm blanket and watch a good movie.

Ice fishing does not look like fun to me.  It just looks COLD!

We have the portable ice huts around our area, and they aren't as neat as your photo's. I did post a few in my journal last month, and have to admit...I'd rather take pictures...than go ICE FISHING! Hope you are feeling better soon. Take care, Deborah
