Mittens

I finished Mindys mittens. I had to make 3 though to get it right and they aren't  that great. I blame that darn homespun yarn. Can't be my fault can it? I am now making some more with a different yarn and different size needles.. think they will fit Leo so I have one more chance to get it right I guess. One of my sisters is copying her pattern for me and Janice is looking for one too. Eventually I will get it right ... now I remember why its been so long since I made mittens. I want to get it right though once and for all and copy my favorite pattern and put the others away. I think it would be something good to do this summer and then when fall comes I will be able to give them to the mitten sharing tree. Sounds good anyway.
Its too cold out to do much of anything else anyway. I do need to get to church tomorrow and to the store for a few things. It would also be nice if I got a haircut. The last time I got it cut she didn't cut it short enough, I wish those girls would listen to me. Now it looks so shaggy. I guess they think thats a good style but not my style, darn it anyway... Its as frustrating as trying to make the mittens come out the way I want, LOL
I think I will go and finish reading my book. At least that is the way I like them to be. :) Actually it was  a nice quiet day today. Just nice!
Hope your day was nice too, Sandra

The mittens are cute and as long as they keep Mindy's hands warm, that's what is important!

Glad you had a nice quiet day.  Somtimes we just need quiet to rejuvenate.

My whole family lives in Green Bay, so I like to read your Journal to see what's going on there :-)  Just thought I'd say hi!!  Pamela
