Sunny afternoon

Its a nice calm sunny afternoon (well slight wind) and it is probably the calm before the storm. My husband went Ice fishing this morning and I took a lot of the Christmas decorations down and packed them away for another year. It seems I just put them out. Now if January can pass that fast I will be singing for joy. Leo took the lights off the trees in the front yesterday and hopefully he will get home soon enough to take a few more things down today. I have a feeling its going to snow and then it will not be good for awhile to take the lights off the house. I have to get one more plastic storage box for the little tree decorations and maybe one for all the Christmas throws and pillows that were scattered all around. Better than storing them all year in my room. I promised myself I will have a neater house this year. So far so good, haha. I also promised myself I will lose weight so I can enjoy my garden this summer and so far its working too. One day at a time........ ONE DAY AT A TIME.
Now that the Packers are in the play offs that will also make winter go faster.... Win Win Win packers so we only have to look ahead one week at a time instead of 3 long long long months.
I do have knitting to do and I ordered some good books at the library so as soon as I get the trees done we will get into the swing of things. Supposed to go with my sisters Thursday and I sure hope the snow waits for us. We haven't been together for a long time now so its about time.  The only problem half of us don't drive in the snow. Im one of them Im afraid. So crossing my fingers for us and hoping everyone is having a nice day, Sandra

My grandson has a fishing house like that but probably nicer. my husband uses a plastic one with a heater etc... I don't go as he likes to just go with the "boys" ok by me though as its too cold to sit out there.

Janice I wait until the kings for taking my tree down too. Just had to clean up a little before that.... so much to do.

Oh and i need the box because I don't want to store some things in my bedroom anymore ~ I figure for just a couple of weeks in the year I use the stuff and then have it in my room to get around the rest of the year is just too much... I put it in there originally because I was afraid they would get funny downstairs but I changed my mind... I will wrap them good and they should be ok and my room will look better. :) should save a few points on my bloodpressure, lol

The weather for Thurs. morning doesn't look too good, does it? I don't care to drive in snow anymore either. Why take the chance? Last time we had storms my car was in the shop, so Tom drove me to work for a few days and it's only 1 mile from home lol. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. We can always find another day if it doesn't work out.

Isn't it funny how we always need 1 more box for the Christmas decorations.  I'm not sure how that happens!
Have fun with your sisters.
Sometime I would like to go ice fishing.   Is it fun?  Take some pics!  My only imagination of ice fishing comes from Grumpy Old Men movie, in those little ice fishing shacks.  Do you have one of those?  LOL!

I always have to wait until the Kings get here to take down Christmas things.  I like to see if I can spot the big star they follow.  I have a great telescope.
