My new clock

This is more fun than that camcorder I sent back, LOL I managed to get this for myself and most of my Christmast shopping finished with the money from the camcorder... good choices I think... I was always fascinated with cockoo clock ever since I saw one at my Grandmothers house. Leo always said they didn't work though so I waited.... I figured this one should work though since it came from Germany. The man from the factory in Germany was on QVC and he had his wooden hand made clocks with him. He comes once a year in October so I waited and he came just at the right time.... my camcorder was sent back and credited to my account... LOL so now was my chance and it came today. I very carefully put the pieces together and Leo found the stud in the wall and we hung it and it works just fine so far... Yah. The little bird comes out and the birds on the bottom fly back and forth ( well sort of) and the pendelum swings and those weights move..... oh so slowly. Now Iam just hoping Charlie leaves it alone..... Maybe I should get some double faced tape to make it more secure???? wondering.
Today I just went grocery shopping because my bones ache from the yard work yesterday. Now the weather has changed and its supposed to rain the next couple of days so it won't be finished when Mike gets here..... darn darn darn.  Maybe I will get the front finished though as I have until Friday night....praying for more Sun around Thursday, LOL
The "darn" Yankee's lost last night.... makes me mad but I will get over it. The Chicago White Sox will be playing tonight and that is a good thing too. Hope they win.
Hope you had some fun today too, Sandra

So glad you got a new clock!!  What a beautiful choice!!  ANd most of your Christmas shopping done too!!  Good for you!!  I better get my tail in gear and start on mine!  Three kids... oh dear, I hope Santa helps me this year!  One is at the age hard to buy for: 11...  the little ones are still easy and happy with any number of gifts and ideas.  Why is it the older they get the more expensive the ideas get?  Lol!  Hugs,
Lisa

It sounds like a very wise choice.  How wonderful to have your shopping done.  My folks have a cuckoo clock and when my little grandson was home for a visit it really surprised him . Now when he goes to see Great grandma and grandpa, all he wants to do is wait for the bird to come out again.  So cute !  'On Ya' - ma

That sure is a beautiful clock.  I think you made a great choice...I like those too.  This weather is not cooperating at all is it.  I have to work this weekend and I bet that's when we get the sun for working outside.  I would have stopped on my way home from that 'place' but I thought today was the day Mike was coming home so I didn't.  It must be nice to have your Christmas shopping almost done, then you can enjoy the season more.

My cockoo clock is almost the same as yours. I love black forest clocks, from Germany. Had mine for about 10 years now. Mom had one when I was a child. Like the fact that you can turn the cockoo off at night. I have about  a third of my shopping done. Did some online shopping last weekend. lol. It's already wrapped.
Who do you think will win tonights race?
