Beautiful Fall day

I love this picture of Twinkie.... he is a sweet sweet dog.... I had stamps made with this picture. I got that flyer from the post office in the mail and went to the web page and saw where you can have your own stamps made.... much too expensive I know but I wanted to try just once anyway and see how they turn out. Wouldn't this be nice to put on a baby announcement or Wedding shower etc. but I just have my pets and had just taken this pic an thought I would give it a try... just something to take my mind off problems and into fun places for awhile. :)
Iam in this room now and have to stay here for awhile because I decided to clean my oven.... the kind that cleans itself with a high heat I guess.... It is enough to make your eyes water too... the dogs are here with me and the cat and Leo are in the basement. I still have an hour to go.... if I can stand it that is... I have a fan on and windows open but that doesn't do it.... no wonder this is the first time I have done it this way....... wow.
Now what mischeif can I get into while on the computer today I wonder.... Qvc is selling christmas decorations but thank goodness Iam not in the mood for that....I can go shopping for decorations in my basement storage area for that. and I have a couple of books on order and some stamps so I guess I will just go and play some games for awhile.... Anyone clean their oven this way?  what do you do because of the odor or whatever that is that is driving me crazy.... My other oven was a continous cleaning one and that was good but it was a gas oven and this is electric. I don't use the oven that much but Gary makes a lot of pizza and I suppose there is cheese on the bottom... I washed it out with just a rag and water first so it wouldn't smoke and its not but the smell is so strong.... I guess its the high heat.
So Off I go to play tri peaks solitare... hehe.
Hope you are having a nice day, Sandra
So I lied... I did play solitare for awhile but qvc was on and I decided to buy something... they were selling baking pans but I didn't buy the ones they were selling... I needed a regular cake pan so I looked on the web site and they had a group of 3 with covers too... all sizes. so I bought that and then they were selling a hand mixer on easy pay and I couldn't get it last time because they sold out of yellow and I wanted yellow... I ordered that too....I also ordered a cookie cook book... can hardly wait to start baking.... someone better come and help me eat it though. the pans can also be used for baking dinners too so that will be nice and then I can just put the cover on if there are left overs... I cleaned out the cupboards last year when I was doing that fly lady cleaning stuff and now I have to get new.... my pans were probably 40 years old though so thats ok I guess... :)  all this and a clean oven too. Now I'm making supper and it should be ready by 5:30.... I think leo is making me my window boxes. He said he didn't know I wanted them for winter too... I like putting greens in there for Christmas and decorating them... Its a good day today, huh?

The stamps will be fun to use, and people will have fun saving them, too! I saw the ad somewhere for them, and someday I'll have to give it a try. I've got a basketfull of stamps now. The last time at the post office I had so much fun picking them out as there were so many kinds. Now I'll have to use them up as I hear the rates are going up in Jan. It seems that always happens after I stock up. Oh well, I'll have some for Christmas cards I guess. Now for the oven. I've always had that kind and the only time there was an odor was the first time I cleaned it. I use it alot, too and there is no odor anymore. It's especially nice to use on a cool day as it heats the kitchen up nicely.

That is a great picture of Twinkie.  I've been wanting to get those stamps too but didn't have a good picture to use.  The one of Twinkie is perfect.  I have that kind of oven too and it smelled the first time kind of like the finish on it but after that it didn't smell at all.  The pans and book sound great, I surely be over to sample the cookies.

It certainly sounds as if you are having a good day !  I love the idea of winter window boxes.  I know all my pans are getting old too !  I did get a new crock pot last year, but I need to get a new skillet too!  Have fun with all your new goodies!

Hello Sandra,
Awww! That is a great picture of Twinkie. My oven had the fire alarms going off the first time I cleaned it. LOL! And I know what you mean about the smell making your eyes water, even with the windows open. Glad you had a good day, and did a little shopping. Think its great that Leo is making your window boxes, looking forward to seeing photo's of them with winter greens.  Take care.    ~Deborah
