Winter Trees
In winter, trees wear diamonds
And powder puffs of snow:
They sunbathe in the beauty
Of snowfall's radiant glow.
Treetops don their cotton caps
After the storm takes flight;
The moon and the stars shine brightly
Upon the pristine night.
Each spring trees burst out in green,
While russet trees fall brings;
But the trees that I love best
God sends on silvery wings.
