So what I did was copy my sister Janice's idea. :) I have more seeds in a box somewhere but I can't remember just where I put them.... In a "safe" place if you know what I mean. I know I have more sweet peas and morning glory seeds to name a few. Maybe I will find them tomorrow. I found some perennial sweet pea seeds though at Fleet Farm so I got a couple of packets of those. My mothers sweet peas always came back and I planted some of her seeds but Iam always afraid I will lose them so am always looking for more. I think I found some this time. I also have zinnias and sunflowers and a pumpkin seed packet. also some sunny cosmos... My neighbor always had some sunny red cosmos and these are the closest I came to finding more.... I will keep looking for just the right ones to remember her.... I miss her so much .... miss my Mother too. It's nice to remember them with flowers though isn't it?
We didn't do very much today... Went to church, which was nice. then we went to Shopko where I got my purse for February..... I can't really remember who it was that said she went with her daughter and they got their January purse..... (think it was Ma) anyway I found this great purse at Shopko (deep red) and it had a place for my camera and lots of places and zippers. It was on sale of coarse and was very cheap to begin with.... I only paid 12 something for it.... so funny when I think of what I paid for my last purse and I bet I will like this one better (at least for the month of February) I also got some corelle cereal bowls... white with little cherries around the top. the last time I got new ones was over 10 years ago and they are used every day. :) I love the little red cherries next to the white of the bowl. I also got some lemon drops and a cadbury egg, LOL. I worked on my new afghan for awhile too today and Rick came over and we had McDonalds tonight.... Yesterday Mindy and Alex came over... Mindy is such a nice girl and Alex is getting better and better. I haven't seen him since he left to go the Purdue to collage and he seems to have gotten so much more mature. Mindy is lucky to have found him. Hope they can stay together but you never know do you.
So thats about it for my day today... it was nice. Hope you had a nice one too, Sandra

Am looking forward to see pictures of all the flowers in you garden when the summer comes you certainly have have a lot of seeds. Love Joan.
I love the flower seed idea...I know I have lots of packets laying around...in a safe place...of course. I'm glad you decided to go with the purse a month idea too. DD and I got our Feb.purse when we were at the mall for the Stroll Saturday. My DDIL#6 also got one ! It's just a cute inexpensive fun thing to do. We all need a little fun in our lives !!! I'll post a picture when February arrives on Wednesday. Today is beautiful, tonite our rain, snow mix is coming.
'On Ya' -ma
The seed packets look really cute. I would be afraid my furbabies would try to get after them then there would be seeds everywhere. LOL But, yours sure do look nice.
Your seed packets look great there. Looks like you found some good ones this year. I love the purse of the month idea. I have a heck of a time finding new purses and usually use one till it falls apart. Now if I knew I'd only use it for a month at a time, it might be easier to buy one, and it sure would be fun to own a red purse. I guess it would drive Tom and the kids nuts though as they're always having to get stuff out of my purse and they get so confused when I do have a new one every few years lol.
Such a beautiful background for the seed packets. Actually the real reason I 'decorated' with seed packets is so I wouldn't forget where I put them when Spring comes and then have to buy more. I have a winter purse and a summer purse. My winter purse was knitted and felted by Angel and this is my third year to use it. My summer purse is 20 years old. I did get a new wallet this year though.
I guess it's my turn to buy some seeds and hang them up! They look so pretty that way. It's a good thing I have sisters with green thumbs to motivate me. I usually plant the perennials that come in pots because Tom doesn't till those out. Although I did have that huge grouping of Morning Glories around the high chair last year. I definitely will do that again. I never heard of purse of the month; sounds like fun. But I got lucky a while back. I found a black leather Stone Mountain at the antique mall for $2.50, and it was brand new!
