I know this looks just like the picture from yesterday but if you look closer there are now more seeds. I found the ones I didn't plant last year but have not found the ones I intended for this year yet... and when I do I will post more pictures, haha.
I got some free seeds from Burpee today. I ordered a few tomato plants but didn't get those of coarse but they did send me some seeds. One packet is a packet of Salad Greens a unique blend so they say. Maybe I will plant them in a pot on the patio. the other is a packet of mixed flowers for sun and shade... It too will be interesting but I think they will also go into a pot so I can control them,,,I haven't a clue where I will plant all these flowers but don't they already look pretty hanging there. :>)
We have winter back again but not really very cold.... just a nuisance driving again. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny again so that is always nice. Today we spent moving the Dvd and tape players to the right areas and I got to remove a small cabinet that held them so now I have more room in my computer room. I guess Charlie is going to have to settle for one of those window benches for cats.... We have one in the bedroom and he lays on it there at night looking for who knows what... its not really a bench but don't know what its called. When I get it I will show you.... maybe its a shelf..... haha
I got a new cook book in the mail tonight so I am going to go and look at it and then crochet a bit and hopefully watch a little tv. I hope there is something good on tonight. I usually like to watch House Hunters at 6:30 first. Hope your also having a nice evening, Sandra

At Mayflower Gardens last year I saw bushel baskets planted with salad greens. I meant to buy one there or try it at home, but didn't get around to it. It looked really pretty and you could just cut the lettuces with a scissors. I remember growing lettuce years ago in my garden (before deer) and I used to cut it and it would grow back. I think I'll try a big basket on the deck this year and see how it grows (or maybe buy one at Mayflower as I don't remember them being very expensive.) They may have used the 1/2 bushel basket, I don't remember.
I still have to find my seeds, but I love the idea. Once again it seems your weather is just a day ahead of ours. We'll probably get that white stuff tomorrow!

Your entries keep reminding me I will have to be looking out the seeds I bought for this year and the ones I had left over from last year 'Time and Tide wait for no man' or woman come to that and it will soon be planting time. Love Joan.
You are getting quite a collection of seeds. They look pretty there against the brick. I like Joan's idea about planting the lettuce in bushel baskets. I wonder if she means the wooden baskets or if there is another kind. It's my intention this year to have a vegetable garden but in containers, but we'll see.
