Today is another mostly cloudy cold day.... at least that is what it is too me and the mood on top says chillin and that is in more ways than one, :)
I have to go to the store and get a few groceries .... something in a new food magazine apealed to me but now I think after I have eaten cream of wheat for breakfast its more of a summer time thing.... it had yogurt and honey with strawberries and some cut up mini wheats on top.... I will still try it but think it would be a wonderful breakfast on the patio when the temp gets just a bit warmer and the sun is shinning.... what do you think?
I think I will boil some eggs and make some egg salad sandwiches for lunch. My diet is starting to work and with good eating habits I believe I will feel better and maybe not so depressed because of the weather. and then maybe get a good movie to watch or a good book to read. I could start sewing too.... maybe...... and then maybe not today.
I just finished reading an amazing book today called Left to Tell by Immaculee Ilibagiza.... what an amazing story she had to tell about being in the Rwandan Holocaust..... I couldn't stop reading it until I finished it...
My son just called from Florida telling me the weather is chilly today.... wish it were so chilly here. lol Anyway now I do have to get going as it's already 11:30. Leo came home from an early morning fishing trip- well not a trip but fishing anyway. They were not biting and he was there since 5:30 this morning til around 10:30. A lot of the fishing buddies were there and noone was catching any but they caught up on their story telling :) and now he is resting. lol
So bye for now and I hope you are having a really nice day, Sandra

Hi Sandra sorry the weather is still making you feel down. We are the same here cold and raining and still an easterly coming straight in from Siberia. Sorry too about the fishing its too cold for the fish to be biting as well. Hopefully it will get better over the next few days fingers crossed. Love Joan.
I've been having Joan's oatmeal concoction for breakfast lately; it's really filling and tasty. The yogurt with mini wheats sounds good too, especially for warmer weather. The book sounds good; I will try to find it. Glad to hear Leo got to yack with his fishing buddies. Angel
Wow, Sandra, I just read your friend from Scotland's remark!! At least we don't have an "easterly coming from Siberia"!! Can you imagine? It's bad enough getting it from Canada. It sure is a dreary day today even though the temp seems to be going up a little. I went to the bank and the post office and then took a little ride to Brillion. Everything is pretty gray.
The recipe sounds good. I love all the ingredients and I think I saw it somewhere, but don't remember where. Was it in the Kraft mag that came in the mail? The egg salad sounds good. I get the nicest eggs from a woman my neighbor works with. She has some hens and brings the eggs to work and sells them for a $1/doz. which is an unbelievable price for that kind of egg. They are so fresh they last for weeks...and it doesn't hurt that they're so pretty. Most are pale blue or green :) I think I'll steam a dozen tomorrow for egg salad. I use my electric rice steamer and they turn out so nice and it's so easy. I read a book this week, too. I saw it in the Sunday Press-Gazette and got it at the library. It was called "An Unfinished Life" and I really enjoyed it. It's about all kinds of forgiving. I saw it's a movie, too, but don't know if it ever came out here. I'm going to try and rent it. Robert Redford and J Lo are in it. Glad you like the oatmeal dish Angel. I add 2 T of ground flax to it now, too. I don't remember if I told you that.
I woke up this morning about 9am with the sun shining in my eyes and the sun stayed out until well after 4pm. It was even shining when I was at Woodman's and that's not very far from your house. It got up to 42 degrees today and was beautiful I thought. Better pull up your shades tomorrow so you can see the sunshine :-) I hope your depressed state is just a passing thing and not caused by any problems.
