Good thing I took the pictures of my flowers yesterday because we had a terrible thunder storm last night with hail and some of the iris are on the ground today. We had a siren go off in the middle of the night with tornado warnings so we had to go sit down the basement around 1:30 for almost an hour and I had been sleeping so good.... but there wasn't any more damage to our area so that was good. my son is a firefighter in Green Bay and called to ask if we were ok. I guess there was some street flooding and trees down in the area and he told us to be careful.... we were and today is another hot and humid day ..... tomorrow too I guess but then it should be in the low 70's for a couple of weeks... so I'm happy. I can sit on the porch again without getting too uncomfortable. I just finished reading a Debbie Macomber book called" A Good yarn" she is the author of The Shop on Blossom Street. It was very good, I enjoyed reading it and started to crochet again... I'm making my favorite pot holders. I also have some other books to read and look at too. When the weather cools down I will go to the flower shops again... it was too hot today so we just went to Barnes and Noble to get a book and then came home to watch the 2 races.... they are over now.... my favorite didn't win. :)
Tomorrow we will probably see if there is a parade and probably go, I wanted to go to the mass at the cemetary but its so early I don't know if we will make it..... Have to catch up on the sleep we missed yesterday I think.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week end, Sandra

Very hot and humid here, but no more storms since Friday. Everything is quite water logged. Lots of rain on Thursday and Friday. I couldn't do much at the campsite because it was so hot...I just wanted to sit in the shade. Tomorrow it'll be hotter yet.
Glad you all didn't get hit with a tornado. They are devastating. 'On Ya' - ma
Better broken Iris's than broken you. ;o) - Barbara
Glad to hear you are alright after the tornado warning it must be terrifying to be woken by a siren in the middle of a deep sleep. Sorry your flowers are down never mind they will be back. LOve Joan.
That storm sound horific Sandra ,I'm pleased you are OK..I have some of Debbie Macombers books too,...........Jan xx
Wow sounds like you guys got the weather we had a few days ago. Our sirens went off too. I hate it when that happens. What makes it worse is we don't have a basement.
Anyway, we will survive. :-) I love the flower pics and you did good getting the shots before the storm. They are just lovely.
Have a wonderful day and kiss the furbabies on the head for me.
Whoops that last comment was from ME (Deb) I messed up and used the wrong screen name. LOL
The weather must have been quite scary for you, especially in the middle of the night. I wish it would reach the 70`s here, its just too cold for the time of year. :o)
Sandra xxxx
I do not like bad weater especially in the middle of the night. It may storm some here today and then cooler weather is called for for several days. It has got in the 90's for several days here. Enjoy your cooler weather. Helen
I'll have to get that book too. I saw it and was wondering if it was good. We went to Stoney Creek flowers in Wayside yesterday and I got some shade flowers and a pink petunia hanging basket. She had a fabulous twig planter to die for but pricey. I tried to talk Tom into it, but I guess I lost my charm. I haven't given up yet. We didn't have a mass at the cemetery this year; the new deacon didn't know about it.
