The pictures above are of my daughter and a little girl she baby sits and my Great Grandaughters. Im afraid that was the last of a beautiful day to play on the patio. the weather is cold and rainy now. I think it came a couple of weeks early so maybe we will still get some nice days but the 15 day forcast isn't looking good.
We have been busy every chance we can to clean up the yard.... front and sides are finished and even mulched in front but the back is only partly finished..... we are dragging our feet I guess. Somehow it doesn't seem like the most important thing any more.
Yesterday my husband turned 70..... boy that seems such a long way from 69 :>) It will be my turn in the not so far future too..... ugh
we went shopping at Penneys yesterday and I got a pretty bracelet and necklace and earrings.... they had a sale I couldn't pass up .... so I got myself a present for Leo's birthday.... I gave him his favorite gift.... Money but he didn't spend any yesterday but today he spent a little at Fleet Farm.... He likes to spend it slow I guess.... Whatever makes him happy, I say.
We got a Christmas tree in the mail today but its too clumsy to bring down the basement so we will probably keep it in the kitchen for a month and then put it up..... the box can be used as a table in the meantime I guess,,, :>( Oh well.
So now I'm going to finish making a pot of chile for supper.... Hope everyone is happy and having sunny days, Sandra

A bowl of chili sounds so good right now. It always hits the spot on cold rainy days. We're having about the same here today. One of the reasons I love pictures is that when its dark and dreary we can bring them up on the computer and see the sunshine ! Just count all those years of blessings you've been given and celebrate the day when it comes. After these years - you deserve to celebrate!
That's the way I look at it anyway. You are both so blessed ! Happy Birthday to Leo ! 'On Ya' - ma

It does not seem any time since we were looking forward to spring and summer in your yard and it was very beautiful your poppies were a delight. Hope all is well with you and will look forward to your flowers again next spring. Love and take care Joan.

Even in the fall, your garden always looks inviting no matter what is or isn't showing. Your daughter and the girls look very content there. Here in Boston, its getting a bit chilly too. Can't stop ole man winter.
70 doesn't sound old anymore! Glad to hear ya got yourself a present for his birthday--after all he gets to admire it on his pretty lady!!!

Your yard looks so good. You really put me to shame. I agree with your method of dealing with husbands (over the age of 60)....whatever makes them happy!
oh, chili is the perfect meal for cold, rainy weather! The girls are all precious. A late happy birthday to your hubby! How far off is that future birthday of yours?? - Barbara
