dreary day here

Hi,

It's  another dreary day today and cold too. I hope the sun comes out because that always makes me feel better. Not much happening around here lately. Just the regular stuff. Thanksgiving is coming so fast I just can't believe it. time sure does have a way of flying doesn't it. I have been trying to get some Christmas shopping done. With 7 children and their spouses and children etc it is a long list and Iam trying to give each one something nice.... Not an easy thing to do anymore. Now if they were children I could have a list a mile long but once they leave home and don't visit often any more its becoming harder and harder. I think I'm getting depressed just trying to think of presents for everyone.so far I have Presents for my daughters and husband and 2 grandaughters.... the easiest to buy for too, wouldn't you know. I have something in mind for 2 sons so that only leaves 100 more presents. haha I certainly can't wait til the last minute or some would be without I fear.
See I'm letting this weather get the best of me aren't I.
Leo and Gary and 2 others are going to the packer game Sunday. They asked me to go but I don't want to. I'm going to stay home and watch the last race of the year. We will have to go to Mass on Saturday this week. I've had a little cold this week so couldn't get my flu shot yet... should have gone sooner I guess. But I guess it willbe better late than never as the saying goes/
Hope everything is going well with you and the sun is shinning. Sandra

The sun is shinning only in my heart today...I wore yellow yesterday, today I have orange on..Is it helping???I really don't think so.  Hope that cold of yours goes away soon!  You need to get that flu shot.  I got mine a few weeks ago.  Take care and enjoy your race.  It will be much more comfortable and warm sitting in your living room with the TV.  'On Ya ' - ma

The sun finally came out today after a couple of days of gray, ugly weather.

Hope you get some sunshine soon.

No sun for us today infact it has been raining very heavy most of the week. That is some amount of Christmas gifts to give it will take you a long time to do all that good luck with it. I am fortunate I only have one son and he in turn only has one daughter so my list is small bit still a problem.  LOve Joan.

Last year I want to doctor who scheduled me for surgery in four hours.  Therefore, I had two hours to do my Christmas shopping and I did it too...went to the little Shopko store and had it all done in two hours.  Good thing too because I couldn't leave the house for seven weeks which was after Christmas.  This year I decided to do the same thing cause it made shopping fun...one store, two hours....This year I went to Michaels.  Of course my family is smaller too.

All that shopping takes the fun out of Christmas.  We don't give the kids presents any more and they don't seem to miss it.  We do give the grandkids each a box of candy and a $20 bill because Christmas is for kids.  It is such a relief not to be worrying about what to buy for everyone.  I try to help out with mending and babysitting throughout the year and that is my gift.  Try to get that flu shot soon.  You can get it if you don't have a fever.  Also, the weather forecast looks really good....sunny starting Sunday and in the 50's on Thanksgiving.  I wouldn't care to go to the Packer game either.  I much more enjoy watching it at home with Tom.
