HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
It sure started out nice ~ warmer weather and sunshine for the second day now.... Gary and Rick were talking about golfing :)
Nice that the Packers won the last game ~ hope Farve doesn't quit but if he does he went out on a good note and everyone wanting him to stay.
Also nice Wisconsin won the bowl game too.
I put away my Christmas presents this morning and Gary his last night and now its Leo's turn. He is always the last one to put his away.... He went to pay some bills this morning and is talking about taking the lights off the trees outside while the weather is nice..... I would be happy to see them a little while longer but if he wants to thats fine because it's a big job. Then maybe tomorrow we will take our tree down and get back to living our "normal" good life. :)
Shari and Dan and Mindy and Ryan should be coming home tomorrow and that is so nice!!!! we missed them. I know they had a wonderful vacation though and am happy for all my sunshine kids....
So back to work I go.... dishwasher needs emptying ....lol

Have just put my dishwasher on so I can take five minutes to read some journals. You do miss the decorations when you take them down the house looks so bare. I wish you a Very Happy New Year to you Sandra and to Leo. Love Joan.
Our weather was better today ,we had some sun early ...then it rained ,I will keep my decorations until twelth night ...love Jan xx
It was sad to see Favre tearing up after the game as if he isn't going to play anymore. Diane said Nick was crying with him. It would be perfect weather for Leo to take the lights off, but don't you hate to see them go. I think I'll leave our tree up for awhile yet. It's not in the way, and it will seem empty when it's gone. I heard on John Tesch radio that 1 hour of housecleaning, such as vacuuming, cleaning floors, etc. is as good as going to the gym. And you get a clean house to boot! I don't know where to start, but I might try it. Take care, Angel.
Just popped in to see how you were doing and to wish you a wonderful New Year.
Enjoy the nice weather while you can. It's bound to come to an end.
Hugs,
Deb
Hi Sandra, Happy New Year! We`re in the middle of taking down our decorations at the moment. The tree in my front room is completely bare apart from the lights and they are coming down in the morning. You`re right, it IS a big job! :o)
Sandra xxxx
Yes it's nice to get back to "normal". I have three big birthdays in January that require parties. After that I'll be taking a break.
Local superstition here has it that it is bad luck to keep your tree up til after new years...but hten you will find a superstition for about everything...I have also heard that it is bad luck to take it down before New Year! lol
Glad you got some sun!!!
HAppy New Year!
love ya,
carlene
It was a beautiful sunny day here too ! I haven't seen the sky so blue in a long long time. My robin is back in her nest in the wreath on the front porch peak. She must think it is spring. Very unusual weather for January . I guess we should just enjoy it. 'On Ya' - ma
HEY SANDRA,
WE STILL HAVE OUR TREE UP TOO. LOL.
