I ve been watching are you smarter
than a 5th grader and I got a lot of the
answers right tonight... haha... its harder
than you think and its a lot of fun too.
I didn't do very much but the usual today.
I got a new cook book that looks like its going
to be a good one. It's a slow cooker cook book and
I made the first recipe tonigh. chicken with tomato sauce
and green peppers and onions... very good and something
Leo can eat. Looks like I finally found some good
recipes that Leo and Gary and I will all like and
good ones for Leo since he still has trouble swallowing
since his radiation. he needs things very tender and with
a sauce mostly... He was happy tonight I know.
I hope typing only part of the paper it will be easier
to read. I don't know what happened but it got way
too wide again.
we had snow flurries again today but it didn't stay on the
ground... no more shoveling I hope. Looks like it will
be warming up soon though . I looked in the yard
found the daffodils are about 5 inches high so it
will be spring soon One of these days I will take a
picture of the artificial flowers in front.
They really make a difference in the otherwise
drab landscape.
Hope you are having a nice evening,
Sandra

I'm glad you held your own with the fifth graders. ;o) It is always great to get new, easy recipes! What is for supper? gets to be a very old question at times. - Barbara
I uesd to use a slow cooker I thought it was brilliant. So happy you have found a remedy that will suits everyones pallette.Yes hopefully spring is around the corner.I hope you get the width corrected here usually it is if pictures are too big and stretch out to the right too far it makes the journal as such.Check your archives for any that are too large.Only a suggestion but this was the problem with mine .I hope you solve it.Take care Have a lovely day.

I love slow cooker food. It always seems to taste delicious and the smell while it's cooking just fills up the house. Our daffodills on the sunny side of the house are up . They tend to come out early and then get frozen. We'll see how they do this year. I heard about the 5th grader program on the radio the other day. They were asking people some of the questions and they all had a tough time answering correctly. I know there is lots of things I learned and don't remember. They say if you don't use it - you loose it. 'On Ya' - ma
I love my slow cooker the meat is always so tender and tasty hope you find lots of new dishes to make. Love Joan
Hi there. Hope spring finds you soon. It's been nice here for a couple of weeks but turned off cool again (meaning highs in 50's) here in middle TN.
We sure have enjoyed our slow cooker recipes. My book is called Fix It and Forget It. We have enjoyed all the soups. There is a mac and cheese recipe that is out of this world and I take it for Thanksgiving every year to our reunion of sorts. No one else brings mac and cheese and the kids and adults alike, love it. Have a good weekend.

Sandra, could you post the name of that cookbook. Is it hard cover? The chicken sounds good. We are sure having some nice weather for a change. I haven't looked around much yet but I see my daylilies are coming up. Andrea's magnolia is budding and it looks like pussy willows.
