Still alive and kicking

I took a picture of the rose bush Mike and Teri got me the last time they were home. the flowers seem to be smaller but their are more. Seems to me I read somewhere if you want bigger roses you should snip off some of the buds if there are many. maybe I will try that next time. the moss roses sure did thicken up since I planted them didn't they/
Its very warm and humid today so Im spending most of the time inside where its nice and cool. I was reading some of the Harry Potter book but after about a chapter decided to come in and play on my computer for awhile. :) I will go out again later ~ winter is too long so I am going to enjoy summer while it lasts. too hot for pulling weeds anyway....:>)  not my favorite job and the last time I had a backache for 2 days.....
Mike said he and Teri would be coming home in October.... Teri loves halloween and Shari and Dan will be having a Halloween party I guess. I think I may have to get a bigger aero bed for them... the twin size is too small and last time Mike slept on the sofa. they have higher ones now too and it will be easier to get in and out of... give me something to do and plan for.... I started washing windows and got 2 finished.... maybe I will get more done by the time they get here..... do you think??????
I should have lots more to write about but really haven't been doing too much.... reading a lot thats for sure. I just love sitting on the porch and reading in summer time.
I will try....... really I will to come and write more often. Hope you are all haveing a wonderful summer and a good day,
Sandra

Hi Sandra, your flowers are really lovely. We could use some of your sunshine for our poor rain-soaked flowers. I love red roses and have a new red climber myself this year. Hopefully by next year the flowers will be even bigger and better. :o)

Love Sandra xxxx

Seems I just had a nice visit with you and here I am again, you sure do have a green thumb, I gave it up this year, this ole body ain't what it used to be,  You know my kids always liked halloween just as well as Christmas, they loved dressing up more than the candy they got begging, it was always a happy time in our life. Have a great day, a good summer, and lot's of good books to read. gg/Jackie

Good to hear from you ! I know you love your porch, but you have to come in and say hello to us once in awhile...just joking!  The whole month of July has been a blur for me and sometimes I think my computer has been my sanity.  So much going on that I don't like to dwell on it at all.  Fall is just around the corner, but I'm not ready to say good bye to summer just yet.  I haven't had my trip to the beach yet.  I hope to get in at least one.  Take care and enjoy the summer time for sure !

aha, I figured you'd come back with another entry...you have so many people who enjoy seeing your flowers and hearing about your life.  Your front yard flowers are very pretty; I can see you haven't been neglecting them.  I especially like the moss roses.  And it looks like you have some of those big turk's head lilies too.  Very nice.  I'm not too thrilled about the weather forecast for this week.  I like to turn off the ac and open the windows at night, but it looks like it will be too hot.  Too hot to knit too.  Stay cool.

Your flowers are always so beautiful.  THis is a wonderful sight for me right now as dry of a summer as we have had here in TN.  We are in an extreme to exceptional drought and everything has just dried up.  Lots of water situations starting to happen like bans on watering and things.  Very scary.
Wonder what you are reading.  Enjoy.  I'm reading Peter Mayle right now...
