Beautiful August Day

It must be August if the Black eyed Susans are in bloom. I put 3 little plants here last year and they are taller and they spread out this year... They make this corner of my yard look so pretty. I hope they continue to bloom for a long time yet.
Its a beautiful day here today but its supposed to rain this afternoon late... Its a good thing for the yard but there is a Packer pre season game tonight and some will get wet I think. I'm going to sit home and watch on tv so I won't be getting wet. I spent a couple of hours watering my flowers this morning anyway. The ground is so dry and hard I figured if I softened it a little the rain would do more good. Our grass is starting to turn brown because it needs rain I think, probably fertilizer too but its still too warm and the sun is too hot I think to apply that now. It will be a pretty green again this fall I'm sure.
I hope everyone is having a beautiful day today!
Sandra

Ooo, pretty. I'm jealous. It's black as night here in NYC. Shoulda brought my camera. Could've gotten great b&w shots of nasty rainclouds.

How pretty.  That little corner of your yard must look so bright and cheerful with the Black Eyed Susans.  When I re-do my wildflower area I may make of the beds a mass planting of these beauties.

Flowers perk up our spirits just like they do our yards. These Black eyed Susans are really pretty.
