I didn't realize I haven't been writing in here... I have been reading journals but doing a lot of other things too .... I will try to write more often...
It's been hot..... and sunny, no rain yet. the farmers are beginning to worry. I heard the cicadas yesterday already so I guess that means summer is beginning to wind down already. You would never know it though as its staying hot and supposed to into the next week and more yet... Maybe one day of rain. I have been spending a lot of my time watering all my flowers but not pulling weeds as its too hot and humid. Supposed to get a little relief from that next Tues or Wed... I hope anyway. I want to do some gardening but I won't suffer doing it. Its supposed to be a hobby after all. :)
I found another project for Leo ( he said he didn't have anything to do) We haven't changed the heating vents since we moved so I went with him and bought 2... 1 for each bathroom. I don't know what they are called... guess not vents but the thing you put in front .... what is that called anyway? It didn't look very nice when he took it off the wall. He usually takes it off and paints it when we paint the walls but it was getting rusty. guess all the moisture in the bathroom. Anyway they really look nice now and very clean.... I like knowing they are clean. LOL Now I have to think of something else for him to do next week if the weather stays hot... the fish aren't biting after 9 am so he has a lot of spare time. The grass isn't really growing so he isn't cutting that. I have been working on my afgan and odds and ends and reading and watering... Can't wait until it gets cooler so I can do some work outside.

- Im married and we are retired. Leo loves to go fishing and I love to read plus other things. we have 7 Children and 5 grandchildren 3 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, 2 step great grands.I also love baseball and racing and a little bit of the Packer football games....I'm widowed now,Leo died of cancer sept 29, 2010. I miss him like he was part of me that left. I read a lot now and spend time on the computer.especially in winter.

I call them register's but I'm not sure if that's the right name. I usually can't get into your comment section but I did tonight, maybe cause it's so late. The flower is real pretty, one of my favorites. I like to water in the evening of a hot day as it cools me off to when the spray comes my way. What I'm doing for passtime now that it's been so hot, I get out some of my old VHS tapes...like Martha Stewert or old chick flicks and watch them. Sometimes I even knit while I'm watching, but not very often. It sure is a hot, lazy summer this year.

If you need rain, I've got plenty I can send you. We are waterlogged. LOL
I've been watering later in the evening about half an hour before it gets dark, and it's really nice out then. I'm so glad I got the golf cart; last summer I pulled my wagon all around with gallon jugs of water in it. It might rain tonight and it's supposed to cool off a little. Can't wait. I don't even feel like taking my camera out, and I want to get a photo of the Morning Glory chair and my row of Dahlias which are finally blooming.
It's so very hot here too ! I haven't mowed the grass in over a month. That's a first for me ! I can't remember a time like this. Guess we'll stay in and keep cool til it's decent out again ! 'On Ya' - ma
