Cleaned Cubbie today

FINALLY I cleaned out this cubbie that I have been thinking about for the last 2 months... You should have seen it before.... wow it was so jam packed I had to hurry and close the door when I put something in there.... I took a whole set of Encyclopedias plus the year books and I threw 3 garbage bags full away and also had a bag and a box to give to good will... Can you believe how much stuff I can "stuff" in a small space. Actually its a pretty good size as you can't see there is stuff behind the plastic boxes on top... How nice to now actually find what I am looking for in here. ONLY took me 5 hours ~ LOL
While I was doing this Leo was power raking the front and fertilizing it.... He said he was going to do the back too but I don't think he will today. Its a big job even if he used both lawn mowers to do the job. One for raking and one for picking it all up. Now if we have a nice warm rain it should look ok this year. We make a good pair today because we are both pooped out... :)
I finally got the pictures in from Home Town again... I think it was my fault I didn't get them in yesterday. I am impatient and probably didn't wait til one thing was loaded before I tried to open another window or something like that...
Hope everyone else is having a beautiful day today. My computer says it 73* here now.... I have all the windows open and am airing it out. I think I will eat lunch on the porch or patio now.... I know its already 3 but I was too busy to eat and had to calm down a bit before I ate or relax a bit I mean....

I know you were tired! I hate to clean out things! But I also hate clutter, so I tolerate it as long as I can! lol

Five hours....I bet that was because you had to look at each piece and decide if you wanted it or not.  And it looks like there are pictures, so I imagine you enjoyed looking at them too!  So many memories.  I opened the windows today too.  It sounds so good to hear the birds singing again.  And there was a duck on the pond quacking his head off....it's mating season again.

What a big job but it looks really good now.  Such an accomplishment when it's done.  Hard to throw out old memories.

Great job Sandra!  I love to organize things... wish you could see my catch all office cabinet!  It is calling my name and I can't wait to clean it out!  Your entry has motivated me!  Thanks for stopping by my journal the other day!  I am so behind on making my way around to journals but it is always nice to stop in and see how you are doing!
Hugs,
Lisa
