Cloudy sort of rainy day

Even if its a dreary day I feel good ! I took the movies back from the rental place this morning and did a couple of loads of wash and straightend the bedroom and kitchen and went out and worked in the yard a little... Good day to cut the roses back in between the showers. actually it hasn't been raining for a few hours but is still cool and cloudy. Just right for cutting the roses back as they won't get harmed in this kind of weather. so far all that I have cut back are growing nicely. I cut back 9 so far and still have 6 or so to go...  Its also a good day for pulling weeds as they come out with the whole root attached. I should be still out there but I figure slow and steady wins the race, LOL after all I have all summer to work in the yard now.
I may have some extra work to do in the following weeks if I can't get our sons to do it.... Leo went to the doctor yesterday and he explained the procedure he will go through with his eye lid and its more involved than we thought... He won't be able to do much around the house for a couple of weeks after. He won't be able to start the lawn mower ~ can you imagine how the grass will look at this time of the year not being cut for 2 weeks? It will drive him crazy I just know it. If anything happens to his eye lid because of him working we have to go to Appleton to see that doctor. I hate to drive but I will have to if something happens so I think I best learn how to cut the grass don't you? I used to cut it all the time when Leo was working so its not that I don't know how etc..... just don't know how to pull that cord to start it as Im so short and is fixed for someone much taller and I don't know how to use the rider...  He cannot pull that cord either as it may hurt his eye... I will just convince him we have to wait until Gary gets home and that it doesn't all have to be done in one day...Its going to be interesting for sure.  I just hope everything goes well with his eye and soon it will be forgotten.
Hope your having a nice sunny day, Sandra

You gave me just the push I needed to get out and do some cleaning up in the gardens.  But I have mostly dandelions, and they didn't pull easy.

Tom would be glad to cut the lawn.  Let us know when you want it cut.  I'll be glad when Leo has this behind him.

Tom and I would be happy to help you, too, with your lawn or driving - or anything. Take care and don't worry too much. We're there for you!
